Ya'll are killing me! BantyChooks your bad!!

Feedman, can't believe all that rain missed you. Are you lap training those Narri yet?

Put a coffee cup full of hot water to help raise humidity. One poult decided to try and walk thru the handle and couldn't figure out how to back up.

More rain this morning. Took the girls for a stroll last night before bedtime. They had to play in every little standing pool of water they could find. Like a couple of little kids. Neighbor is still in rehab (she's 90) so her backyard is a bit overgrown. All sorts of things developing seed heads. You should hear their happy chirps....they are lovingly the variety. I'm developing a new appreciation for overgrown weedy lawns.

Mrs. Robin is sitting tight on her nest of three eggs. Wish I could get close enough for a pic. Mr. Robin is still standing guard.

Hey been awhile since I been on but I have an issue and know you all will be able to help. My two turkey hens have made it through the winter great. They have been stuck in their pen the last couple days cause of the massive rain we got. Today when I let them out my darker hen looks like she got in a feather pulling contest and lost badly! ALL of her tail feathers are gone, her belly and base of neck/back are bare. I do see there are new feathers coming in on her back and possibly her belly. Is she molting? The nari hen is still fully feathered. Here's a couple pics but she wouldn't hold still at all. Any info would help a lot. She's eating, drinking and acting normal.

No just our bantam Cochin rooster and he won't bother them since they showed him who was bigger awhile back. The nari hen is perfectly normal. Just the darker hen loosing feathers. We saw her shake herself a bit ago and feathers just flew all over. And when she grooms herself she pulls them out in clumps. There are lots of new feather shoots coming in where bald spots are so it's gotta be a hard molt right? She is a year old now.
