I must have laughed for ten minutes afterwards and then he came full circle back up to my front yard with a really funny expression on his face. And he kept looking down the driveway at the turkeys as though he was trying to figure out what happened. Just goes to show that if you live out in the woods, nature can provide all the entertainment you need.Wow. Rjohns that would have been fun to see!

I keep threatening to get a bumper sticker that says "I brake for turkeys" as more than once I've turned onto my street and found a mom and poults walking down the street.I bet that was absolutely hilarious!
I personally like crows. Smarter than the neighborhood crackheads. They can be fairly efficient opportunistic predators when they take a notion. I saw one swoop down and grab a sparrow once.Got another question for the folks out here. What are your thoughts about crows? I had to toss a lot of eggs over the last couple weeks, so they went into compost. I've got a half dozen crows that have been following the new kids around chowing on the left over food when they move. Now they've moved into the compost pile and keep digging up the eggs. They don't seem to be hurting anything, other than giving me an extra chore and they don't get close enough to the babies to give them bugs. Should I leave them be or motivate them to move on?![]()
