I had to go into the hatcher today and get the birds out that hatched on lock down day. To my surprise, some turkey eggs got into this batch, so I have three new bug eyed babies.... Pix to follow.

JR sent me a pm and said he was leaving BYC over the last little off topic thing. I tried to convince hm to stay. I miss his off beat humor and great ideas. It takes a dreamer to set us thinking sometimes....

That's very sad. I hope he changes his mind and comes back.

I think JRNash will return. The off topic fiasco was just the final straw in a whole bag of issues that were taking place.

I know *I* was way beyond upset over a seemingly "non-issue".

That said, I have it on good authority that procedures will be looked at and as it was expressed to me - a suggestion was made "that moving forward we loosen our rules regarding "off topic" posts."
We shall see.

I will get more pics! I am working on restructuring my pens and putting a cover on top of the one the turkeys stay in when I cannot be present. I looked up yesterday while making a new door - to see "Tommie" and "Iron" on top of the 10 foot tall shed. I'm not quite sure how they got up there as I DID clip wings.

My concern is "today the shed, tomorrow that 70 foot tree!"

Well, in the NOT FUN category, I took my avatar out to do her business and as I gaze at the lower pasture, I see ten 6 week old Rhode Island Whites wandering about the place OUTSIDE their shelter. They are back in the shelter and I've refilled the hole they dug. ARG!
