A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Beautiful shots R2elk! It got dark here. And the temp dropped significantly. We had 2 mins/40sec of totality. And a 360 degree sunset. Just awesome!!
Aurora...great shot of the kids!!
Thank you. Other than the length of totality, I saw the same conditions here. We were a few seconds shorter on totality.

My informants said that the Highway Patrol was out in force, handing out tickets right and left. A neighbor drove into town to witness the mass exodus of all the visitors from Colorado. He was told that the normal 3 hour trip to Colorado was being predicted as 6 hours for the drive.

R2 great pics

Aura awesome shot of the kids

memphis we saw the same here

And R2 highway patrol, local sheriff, etc were all hands on deck... Appeared to be LOTS of after parties and then people heading home

Ok so I picked up Turk to feel the crop. Instantly water poured out of his beak. I massaged his crop and got a lot of the fluid out. Gonna try to get more in the morning. Also he pooped out a flat white worm that was dead. Gonna worm them too.
what are you worming with? Do you know what type of worm? any pics :pop

Why do easterners count both antlers? Is it because sometimes one antler has more points than the other? I was always confused...
i didnt know westerners didnt count all points
but yes the number of points can vary, i have seen one side that has 5 but the other has 8 so how would that be counted? here it is 13

Because each "point" is a separate item. That's why people have bagged 9, 13 and even higher point deer.

My uncle hit an 8 point with his car - and had it mounted. He said his car was as much of a weapon as any rifle or bow.
:lau:lau:lau
i have a friend that has a huge 12 pointer mounted with a plaque that reads that he got it with his mustang

We had PERFECT viewing for totality! It was even more amazing than I anticipated!
awesome!!

The sky was clear almost up to the totality when some thin cloud cover blew in and it kept getting cloudier right up to the end.

You can see the album here. Some selected shots can be seen here.
Great images!!!

It could be referred to as a 5 pointer (extra points are a deduction when measuring unless measuring as a non-typical) or as a 5 x 8 (x = by).

It seems to be the white tail area is count all the points and areas with mule deer count one side.

The non-typical seems to be the "rule" around here if you see a record or an honorable mention rack,
You are correct but the western count also gets applied to whitetails and elk here. No one bothers to refer to the points when talking about moose antlers.

Thin white worm and no didn't have phone handy to get a pic. I hadn't wormed the new birds yet as they are just now about 8 weeks old. I have a wormer called Wazine 17. Says it's for chickens, turkey, and swine. Dosing info is kinda tough to figure out as it's meant for larger flock and measure per 100 birds. How do I break it down for like 15-20? Divide it? Also his crop has went down considerably. I have helped him empty it by massage and holding him head down. Seems to be helping. He's more active and eating and drinking good. I also added grit again as well as a vitamin/probiotic supplement to water.
