It looks like one of those Semi-Color Semi-Gray varieties that there aren't any reference photos of the known types such as Semi-Color Semi-Gray Narragansett but I don't think this is the Narragansett version. This kind is caused by the effects of the black winged bronze (b1) gene, the Gray (cg) gene and the Narragansett gene (n). It would help to know what the hen was. My guess is that its color genes are (?b1 Ccg Nn). If the ? is a (b), it would be a Bronze Semi-Color Semi-Gray. If the ? was a (B) it would be a Tri-Color Mottled Black which it is not. If the ? was a (b1), it would be a Cornish Palm which it is not so most likely it is (bb1 Ccg Nn) along with any other recessive color genes that the hen added.View attachment 1126292

Here's my big Fred. Any idea what mix he is? I know his dad was a palms but not sure about the mom.
Based on those choices it is my belief that the mother is a Bronze and that he is a Bronze Semi-Color Semi-Gray.The hens they said they had were blue slate, red slate, bronze, palms.
