Ps. You should write a book on turkeys!

I have seen bronze breasted turkey hatching eggs advertised on eBay. There are people who actually believe there is such a turkey. There is also no such thing as a Red Bourbon turkey but many people only reference their Bourbon Red turkeys as being Red Bourbons. Of course there was also the guy on eBay advertising Patriot turkey hatching eggs. He had images of Blue Red Bronze turkeys along with other varieties that had some blue and red in them. None of his shown varieties would breed true to color. I wonder what his customers thought when the eggs hatched and they got something other than what was pictured. Of course that is if any of the eggs even hatched.

I am too busy working on a revision of my cookbook to write a book on turkeys.

Been acorn hunting with the girls this evening. They've pretty much cleaned them up in my yard. Luckily my neighbors driveway is full. Of course I have to step on them to break them open. I know...spoiled .

My turkeys would starve if they waited for me the crack the acorns...

BTW I had to snicker a tad... the WWD came up the deck from her car tonight and all the turleys ran out of the coop and followed her up the deck...

Then she said to me "look at that, they run right up on the deck after us, I wonder why that is?"


I managed to get out a "I dunno" without laughing...As soon as I got in a separate room I did have my chuckle....
