Question: my turkeys are coming up on 6ish months of age... when should I expect egg laying to begin from the hens and should I switch them from flock raiser to the turkey layena? (Can get it custom ordered where I work).

Depends where you are. Here, I expect breeding to start next month followed by eggs in the middle of March. Mine on are on 16% protein layer feed but where I live there is not an abundance of natural calcium in the soil so the extra calcium in the layer feed is not harmful to any of my poultry.

The first egg I set is fertile and has a baby inside, kicking away! I think only another week or two till hatch day so the boys are already taking care of business. I still only have 1 girl laying atm but more are starting to act extra lovey so it should be soon!

Does any other turkey poults have legs colored like those ? Is there any breed of turkeys that have pink-black mixed colour? The pink remain on some of my juvenils, but not on adults wich get black legs.

Very cute! Black poults tend to have black legs. I know it threw me off with my first black babies!
