A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

I am checking daily now, but no eggs. I am not even sure I have any breeding going on. I have the Toms I want in with their hens, but the two non-mated Toms wander from pen to pen to fight though the fence.

The Toms inside the pens, would rather stand and look at the Toms outside the pens than look at the girls.

I had my 5 hens seperated from all the toms while I was out of town. I put a tom in with the hens yesterday morning and I saw him breed 3 of them. When I got home from working today I checked and found I had got my first egg. I will check eggs for fertility in a couple days then. Thanks @R2elk

I found the cheapest way to combat that is to put a silt fence up around the pens.

My bourbon that was laying must have decided she didn't want to be the only turkey laying. Have me 5 eggs and has taken a break for the last few days. But the turkey egg omlet was good.

Got a narri egg tonight instead

Congrats on egg.

got my 2nd egg now. I know it was from my BR cross. I think the 1st was from one of my white hens. Either should give me some red bronzes to mate with my slate next year for barred and rusty slates. Depending on if I get narr or some browns in my hatch from either will help me narrow the genes in my tom.
