I had synchronized egg laying today. A turkey managed to cram her butt in a chicken nest box and laid an egg. Two chicken hens decided that must be a desirable laying place and jammed themselves together in the nest box. I just happened to be standing there watching them as they both stood up and went through the motions. There was a "thunk" followed by a second "thunk" less than a half second later as both hens laid their eggs almost at the same time. They left the nest very soon and I collected one turkey egg and two beautiful very warm blue eggs.

This picture waa not a good picture... One is a light color but who knows... The mom is blue slate dads are full red and full slate... She wasn't sure who breed her...

I have a pretty good idea who is the responsible Tom after seeing the pictures...I am not sure we need DNA to solve this mystery.

It's a beautiful day today. Finally saw the sun. But H@$l week starts at work this week so gotta work next 8 days. I get to start about 12 am tonight.

Went to bird sale today. A lot of nice birds there but refrained on most.

Bought a rooster and 3 hens of ayam cemani 25 dollars. Got home with them knew someone looking for them. Traded for a 14 ft John boat and trailer.

My excitement or looking like a fool was a chicken got out of my cage in the middle of town and I was running around with a 12 foot net trying to catch a bird that didn' want to get caught. Couple people stopped and watched the show.

I think your right... I believe there all reds... Which to me look so pretty.... Ha ha that sounds like sonething i would do... Thank so much... My 5 year old wants a gobbler to bring to k5 thanksgiving party this year lol

Ok. ;/. Ester still isnt even close to bein up and puttin anymore weight on this leg of hers. She has given her deposits every other day like is normal for her and eatin and drinkin a bit. But her poop is now green and runny. So.. could this be from her sittin still or more not good stuff goin on with her? Since she has been in jail i have given her blueberries but three to five each day is all. The first day she did have some clover that she picked a lil bit at but none since.

My granddaughter was checking for eggs this evening. I opened a serama nest box lid, just as a pullet stood up and exited the box, leaving behind a sopping wet egg.

I grabbed such a fresh turkey egg yesterday that the speckling/coloration came off on my hand and it was wet... was a bit offputting!

I thought my babies where eatting alot but most of it i found was on the floor. How can i keep them from spilling there food?!?
