Well hopefully didn’t kill them all in the 12 hours it was at 50%! Although you’d think they’d be able to survive a short increase of humidity in instances of rain or Mom having wet feathers.

I’ve got it down to 34-38% by using a syringe to pull out most the water I put in. I made sure the plug is out. Temp is still holding around 99.7 and the lying on side rotating tray seems to be rolling them fairly well. Guess time will tell!

A period of high humidity won't hurt them Now if it were high for days on end there would be trouble with getting the air cells the correct size but if say that you're fine.

I moved the two penciled poults and the one bourbon poult out to the coop today. I made them a VERY makeshift separation pen but it works. I threw a pullet in with them to hopefully teach them where the food and water are since they seem to upset to figure it out on their own.

Candled eggs that are under miss hissy bite yer hand off maman sg turkey hen. Boy was THAT fun... not! Lol. Have twelve growin in there. Road runner came out of the corner today to troll the grounds for a bit. Then went and sat on the fake egg. Crazy bird. I dunno what she is doin. But she was all hissy at me over that cold fake egg lol!

Now i got two broody chicken hens. Eesh! I do not want anymore chickens... but if they keep it up maybe i will find some duck eggs to slip under them. I am still on the fence bout dux even though i KNOW for a fact that @duluthralphie happens to jus LOOOOVE some dux . We do have a pond they could go on but it is up the hill closer to mama and i am just not sure i want to hear her dramas and how she knows all bout all the things and how to raise them and how we are doin all of everything rong. So i dunno. I kicked these silly birds out of the boxes at least five times today and dunked they tails in cold water.... they went right back at it. . One is a white rock and the other a bantam barred rock.

Lil goatie boy is doin great and i swear he has springs in his hooves. His maman Graice is none to pleased with me though. He favors one side nursin so she has been on the milk stand and she is none to pleased about that business. Hopefully in the next ten million years she will realize i am not the bad human here a d that i am jus tryin keep her comfortable and not take all the preciouses from her.

I’ve gotten the humidity to 36% so I won’t fuss with it too much.

Question: how much is a fair price for a day or two old poult you hatch? Bourbon red so not super rare or from fancy lineage. Around $15 I’d assume?..

Around here, poults sell for $10 regardless of color. Do some research on Craigslist to see what people in your area are charging.
