Beautiful flock. They look happy!

In our neighborhood we are gearing up for the 69th 4th of July parade. Everyone is decorating their houses & making sure their yards are cut & trimmed. Venturing out with the turkeys last night was fun! Lots of kids running around. Lots of folks who grew up in the neighborhood return with their kids for the event. The girls got an offer to ride on a float. They are red, white. & blue....after all! Flattered, but we declined. Although Daisy would be fine. Annie would just scream at all the people! They will be locked in their pen under fans!

I wish I could get a good picture of the entire flock. Don't think I can fit over 100 turkeys in a single photo tho lol!

Haha yeah. 100 is a conservative estimate if I'm including every turkey. Probably have close to 100 poults from 1 day to 1 month old.

The turks and goaties got 330 more fence ft to roam today. Sure was all loud in that lil pasture today. Happy happy turk noises.. . Told paul we are sure to have turks in the trees tonight come bedtime. . . They have been tryin their darndest to get atop the lil barn the last week.... two actually made it but chickened out when all their friends went abed. .

yeah I have to stay out there about a half hour before bedtime .. the poults know I'll knock them out out of the trees now. They see me coming and fly down.. they still look at the limb though.
