I have a kind of co-parenting going on...The worlds dumbest Hen, who is now incubating eggs....is sharing her "nest" with a scrawny white legbar rooster. I cannot not get close to her but her new mate is welcomed into the nest....makes no sense...

My younger poult was not very well accepted after all. Did ok for a few days then some hen got too peck happy and removed the back of the head feathers. Will try reintroducing again when she’s closer to their size and healed up. Unfortunate for her she’s related closely to my flock buuut she can be Easter dinner at the very least or sell her off.

Soon enough when the hens get to heavy laying I’ll need to start up my incubators again! And soooo it begins again, lol.

Well, I had to take Pebbles' last remaining baby. She is just not attentive/protective enough but hopefully she will be satisfied now and start laying again. The other three babies somehow died in her "care" but this is why I give her cockerels.

wow I guess not. That's a shame she wants to be a mom and stinks at it.
