A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

You might not realize this, but you could get these Tom's in Minnesota which is a way shorter drive than to Wyoming......Just sayin...
Really? I was not aware that you had any toms with the known b1b1 cgcg dd Nn RR SlSl SpSp PnPn color genes. There is also an outside possibility that they might actually be Pnpn.

Shhh...... the details are not important.......The fact I have Toms I should get rid of is all that matters....BTW I gave up Algebra years ago so I forget what b1b1 cgcg dd Nn RR SlSl SpSp PnPn = 0 is.....

And what is more important yet is you have Rose combed Legbars, which I need,,,,,in case she makes a trip out that way....

Sweetgrass tom carrying a recessive Narragansett gene. If it is Pnpn instead, it would mean that he is also carrying a recessive penciling gene.

I will be separating for breeding purposes on Feb. 1st and setting eggs probably around Mar. 1 with chicks expected around Mar. 22.

If I am remembering correctly, you are currently not NPIP so it would seem to be a good time to sneak some new flock members in.

The youngsters this morning.

It would not be good at all, the only way I could get them would be to road trip out when they are over 5 months old..test them...Then bring them back and quarantine them then test them again after 30 days...A huge PITA,,, But it might be worth it for your Rose Comb legbars and would save me 5 years of growing my own.

I would actually like to see them become an APA variaty before the Gold crele, but that is just me, I doubt the rest of the board feels the same way.

I do have some that are well over 5 months old including a cockerel that will be losing his head after he does his duty in February.

He will last until sometime in March at which point he will become chicken noodle soup.
Chicken noodle soup is a wonderful transformation for an old rooster.....

I just brought Bertha into the house for the night. I am afraid she will not make it through the night. I have her in the bathtub on a cat's bed...(cushion).

She is my oldest living toad. I think she was hatched in the spring of 2015 She is the mother (grand mother- great- great and so forth) of all the current toads. She is looking lethargic. I did not receive the support for a sick bird one would expect from my spouse.

I am getting more turkey eggs than chicken eggs now..Something is wrong!
