There is nothing wrong with my bird netting.......I have found the reason a turkey occasionally falls into a chicken pen is not an accident.....

I caught a hen today on the bird netting. She was there on purpose not an accident. She was bouncing on the netting like a kid on a trampoline! They think it is fun is why they are there...Not because they are clumsy or cannot see the netting!

I tried to catch her while she bounced. She just kept bouncing away from me...She could have bounced onto the 3 ft ledge I have around the pen she was on, but no she purposely turned away and bounced onto another pen.

Where do you get your gold nugget seeds? And. Any oher heirloom veggie i need try this year?

Ralphie....I've been in shorts for a few weeks. But a cold front is blowing in tomorrow night and its dipping into the high 30's for a few mornings. The never ending winter!!!

Where do you get your gold nugget seeds? And. Any other heirloom veggie i need try this year?

Because Gold Nuggets are open pollinated, I save seeds from my own plants. To make sure that they are Gold Nugget, I grow them in the greenhouse away from any other tomato plants. Unfortunately I forgot to save any seeds from last fall.

I originally got the seeds from

but they are available from many places now.

I just came in from gathering sap...

And look what I found in the WW’s chair....

She complains about my house birds .....then when she thinks I won’t notice I catch her lapper training 2...

Or snuggling them at the least... she does not think I noticed them yet!!!!!

Ralphie, how sweet! Judy has taken up lapper training! Today I was grateful for a cozy lapper. Temperatures dropping like a rock and windy. Did spend time sitting with the girls. Daisy had to hop in my lap. I keep my hands warm under her wings. A lapper is just the thing in brisk weather!! Then the rain came. Needless to say they didn't get a walk this evening.

I need the bcm that lays that choklit one! One of mine lays one that dark but the other four... newp. Makes me sad. One lays one just a tinny bit darker than my buffs... that one really makes me mad. I paid enough for those hens and should be gettin dark dark eggs from them.
