A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

We'll, I guess since Sweet Pea has babies now, it's Lil's turn. There was no warning. She just dropped down and is full on broody.

Yeah, the roos ended up with frostbite pretty bad on their Combs and their insistent, loud crowing got on my nerves, so I butchered all my males last weekend. I haven't eaten one yet, so not sure if they really taste fantastic or not. They did grow fast. I hatched these late last fall and could have butchered before Christmas, but I was planning to keep some for breeding and wanted to grow them out a bit. I still have 5 hens and they are nice looking birds and laying eggs like crazy.

Thanks, Jenn! I’m dying to know whether their fame as the best tasting chickens ever is deserved. Sounds like Roos need to be mostly gone by winter. :p I may give them a try if you give them a soaring review... possibly not this year, tho...
