That is how i pick the toads out as babies within a week they are twice as tall as the rest.

At first I thought not only was the Cornish the wrong color but a bantam I hadn't seen a normal chick in a couple of years

A Dalmatian toad? Wow! How cool is that? I've seen them with some red. Is this one different?

Ok, ok....will be trying for pics later today. The ones of them loose in the crate usually end up with their heads through the bars & all ya get are little turkey butts!

!#@%#*! It is 44°F and is supposed to get down to 30°F tonight followed by another frost tomorrow night before it warms back up again. It was 83°F yesterday.

It was 90 something on Friday and yesterday was max 50. Lol.

It didn't freeze, but it was definitely cool enough to need a jacket while irrigating the Hayfield

It did freeze here. The potato plants got touched a little but it looks like everything is okay.

It has finally been dry enough today and cool enough that I have gotten a little of my mowing done. I am so far behind that it isn't funny. A visitor asked yesterday if I was going to mow or just let it all grow.

Yeah...mowing has been an issue here too. We have turf grass down here....takes forever to dry enough to mow and it seems to rain every other day. Then it sends up seed pods that look like Turkey feet. And the turkeys love to strip the seeds off.

turken are a breed of chicken with a naked neck, so they look sorta like a turkey with a comb
