I don't think I've ever had smoked turkey before.... Only oven roasted. I don't know anyone with a smoker lol

Making something to smoke a turkey in takes about 3 minutes and does not have to be fancy...

An overturned wash tub above a smoldering fire will work..as long as it’s not too hot

Smoked turkey is pretty good! We have one for Thanksgiving each year.

Mine is J L Bar Farm, after my dad's family brand. I wanna know all yours now. I shared mine! The j and the l are joined along the shaft eith the bar underlining and it's a 2 iron brand. I've been begging dad to take a picture of the brand or burn it into an old piece of barnwood for me to mount, but he left it at his partner's house because they do the spring branding over there.

Ours is Hillsite Farm. My grandfather named it in 1959 when he and my granny b bought it. They built the house atop the hill... so....

I love all the farm/ranch names & the reasons behind them are pretty cool.

Skinny Iris flew over the fence into the neighbors yard. Such a punk! And of course Poppy was standing on my side of the fence talking to her. Iris was talking back in dramatic fashion. It was another 100 degree day & decided to try & herd her home vs catch her. So down the neighbors drive, across my front yard & down my drive to her home turf. She did great! She'd has never been in the front yard before. Was worried a car, or anything really, would scare her & she'd fly into the next county! When we got to my drive, there was Daisy! I swear to you she stood there with her wings on her hips all annoyed with Iris!! Iris was much relieved to see Daisy, even tho you could tell Daisy wasn't happy. Daisy gave her a talking too!!
