I have never gotten an almond either.

I believe that Russian Almonds will grow where you live. This was my first year that any of them produced any almonds.

Flash....so that's what happened to the squirrels. I don't think I would miss them. Like Fred, I have pecan trees and they just ruin the harvest.

I have acorns, hickory nuts, and chestnuts. lol

I am going to vote not a Sweetgrass, likely a Calico with an outside chance of Cornish Palm.

Ok, I submitted the first pic I put up here to the turkey color genetics - see if anyone will say yea or nae on either. Right now, I am still opting for him being a Calico - but heck - what do I know??

Adding, the pic someone has up there now - looks sorta like Tommie and kinda sorta like that Cornish Palm you showed me.

Those of you that harvest nuts, how do you store, age, preserve or whatever you have to do to them. I could probably have a great harvest if hickory nuts. They are pretty good.
