taking 2 tri color palm toms and 2 dark gray hens all about 4 mnths old and my 2 yr old oregon gray to auction. Starts at 6 tonight and will let everyone know how it went.
See if I can leave without buying anything. Last month I picked up a dozen ayam cemani eggs for $8. Only 7 were fertile and only 5 hatched of those. 1 of them is really messed up on color.
If prices are good I will take more to the Nov 1 auction, last one of year. Keep your fingers crossed for me.. lol

Well that was a bust. My 4-5 mnth old birds only got 20 and older tom went for 30, Low turn out I assume because of high school football season. Last month year old toms were getting 50-60 each. Just the luck of the draw when it comes to auctions.
Looks like I will just process a bunch and feed over winter for spring prices.

Today is my last livestock swap of the year. I don't h have a lot of birds to take but I really don't want to bring any back home. Hopefully, people want to dress up their birds (or their little dogs) for Halloween lol

I'm up in Ste. Genevieve MO. Best time of year to travel the delta. Just starting to harvest cotton. Due to lack of rain, it's super white & bright. Looks like snow as far as you can see.
