A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

All kinds of turkey talk happening over here! Was a bit late putting the girls to bed. Daisy had gathered them all on my backporch and they were ALL staring at the backdoor raising cane! They are sure creatures of habit....plus they want their bedtime snack. It did not take long for the terrible teens to catch on!

Embarrassingly....I was delayed on the phone with a friend when the turkey cacophony began on the porch. She took it well when I told her my turkeys calling me & had to get off the phone & put them to bed. She did tell me not to forget the mint on their pillows.
I love your tales from the coop, Memphis. You always get a chuckle at least. :lau

Cindy....its a different perspective with "city" girls. Speaking of city folk....the neighbors are starting to stream in to meet the new girls. Across the board....they are stunned by their beauty. Well...sort of...they are impressed by their beautiful feathers! The girls are curious with visitors but not allowing themselves to be petted yet. So Daisy is taking up the slack. She's a total flirt! She knows she'll get a snood pet and most likely a treat!
And a bit of sad news. Her little white fluffy ancient dog buddy has died. The owners came down to let me know. If you remember, Daisy was the only other animal the spoiled little mutt didn't attack. They both got a hen hug amid tears. Loosing their dog was tough for them.
