For all their meanness Silkies are still easier bullies than the standard breeds we've had. Hens seem to be obnoxious when broody or moulting here. Sweeties all other times.

Only competition for food bothers Ginny now that she's finally past her really mean moods.

And guess because the silkies are the oldest here and pretty much brow beat the chicks that grew up here, they hold reign over all the others.

And it’s funny as even Holly has by de facto become a bossy brat!

And seems that Clyde the Brave has quite the following lately, even the older hens are ‘flocking’ to him

Pooh seems to like them a lot.
She goes in with them very early in the morning and lays her egg. She hangs out with them.
Calypso continues to be terrified of them.
Hard to tell about Piglet and Sylvie. Piglet only just stopped being broody and Sylvie is still stubbornly sitting in nothing.
Here is Geronimo who is getting some interesting feather patterns. Also she has quite feathered feet.
She is hard to get in focus as she is always in a hurry!

Three Marans boys trotting off into the woods. They slept in the coop last night, hubby made sure Wild Man let them in there. Yes, he's still with us, I had vertigo last Sunday and was unable to butcher him.

Little Early Bird got out and did several laps around the coop and run until I was able to catch him. Wild man tried to kick him though, which was not very good.

I got some close up pics of Roxy last evening. She must be a blue cuckoo. I definitely see white feathers in there.

Good day to dear lovely lady.
You caught me on my way out. I’m flying Marie to South Bend today. Going to see Hannah (she’s desperate again) and my wonderful friend Dianna is going to watch the chooks. I love my animals very much, it’s so hard for me to leave them, but humans are different creatures all together.

Such a sweetie In cuckoo Dominiques the white feathers are called "silver"... I wonder if that will be the same whenever cuckoo Silkies become a registered APA/ABA standard? The Silkie wing feathers should show crisper cuckoo patterning on your chicks.
