We had a wolf here maybe ten years ago. I think it made tracks in the snow in our driveway. DH took pics of them next to a ruler and my hand. I don’t remember the measurements but though they were fresh and crisp, they looked pretty unimpressive in the photos (which we probably still have on some dinosaur computer hard drive.)

He showed them to his co-workers and they made fun of him, but next day there was a news story about someone in Custer (~50 miles from here) who hit and killed a big wolf. I think it was our driveway wolf, but some of the Custer State Park Rangers I’ve known would swear we have the odd wolf wandering around.

They pass through, I think. We had a moose in town once, just passing through...

I’m sorry for all you who have had wolves inflicted on you. I think they’d be right at home in DC, though. Help them get packed and buy them a bus ticket!

I am kind of surprised you don’t have wolves there..

I am fairly sure in time the
anti-rural-people people will make sure you do.

Good morning everyone it is 6 degrees here’s in the Hudson valley, NY!
Everyone seemed chilly this morning . I’m going to do a search for turkey language I’m wondering if their different noises mean different things like chickens. Belle was having a huge convo with me she followed me to the gate and was still going haha.
The most interesting thing in the world to me is animal communication, I could research it all day. Most interested in Canada goose communication, it’s so hard to find information on it. Maybe I can go live with them and be the Jane Goodall of Canada geese !
