That's a great picture! To put it in to scope, those cement posts at the bottom that the steel is anchored in are about 5' tall! I need to find my other pictures lol

That would be one breathless train ride! Holy Smokes! I would enjoy walking out on it, though.

There was a respite from the wind today. This afternoon, the sun came out of hiding and the wind stopped. I took advantage and removed the Tri-Color Mottled Slate tom. At 6 1/2 months, he dressed out at 14 lbs. 2 oz. He has a very nice layer of fat under his skin and should be self basting.

That seems big for a 6 month old R2elk. However...my girls are all chunks. The teenagers are so sweet. They dont hop into my lap...yet...like Daisy, but will sit in my lap when I pick one up. They also follow me to the backdoor & stare up at the door when I go in. Hard to resist. I've been know to go back out & sit on the porch steps with them. I cant believe how much time I waste hanging out with them! But what the heck....why not? They are just so funny.

Just noticed how cold it is in some parts. Stay warm folks! Its 24 here this morning. And you betcha...the coonhound is under his blankie. The Aussies are out enjoying the weather. Go figure!

Shortly before midnight a Chinook started. It had gotten down to 10°F at some point during the evening. The Chinook brought with it the high temperature of 25°F right before midnight. That is also today's low that occurred shortly after midnight and it is currently up to 33°F this morning without the aid of any sunshine yet to assist in the temperature rise.

We have -12 right now but the weatherdorks promise us it will be warming all day and peaking in the 30s tomorrow.

It's 25° here, and thats pretty close to what it was at 11:30 p.m. last night. "Feels like" 15°. DH is still gone--home tomorrow night if all goes well. His buddy is very needy this morning. Poor buddy.

It is 35°F and still rising here. If it wasn't for the howling winds it would be nice out. The sky is clear so it should start out sunny today.
