A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

I was off a few days on a hatch before and had a few hatch still in the turner.
Using a cabinet incubator, I have not had any injuries when eggs hatched while the turner was still going.

In my case, they were all eggs that were on an unknown day when placed in the incubator.

Luckily no injuries here either and yes same here one time on eggs with unknown day on placement. Only happened twice. First time was my fault some how got my placement day mixed up. Seen it before totally out of eggs.

Loss of sitting hen to a predator caused one batch.

But I do alot of trapping and eliminating predators here. And most of my pens are predator safe. except my large open pen and pasture.
In less than a year I have taken care of 34 coons, most are yearling males. I didn't have a problem until last summer, I had been lived and let live, since I didn't have any loses. Then the neighbors, that feed the wildlife, went on vacation. The hungry hoard descended and wiped out the poults.
