He isn't super great with new babies, but otherwise he is very good with the animals.

He is growing faster than the turkeys

I have to share my adventure today: Zeus and Apollo treed a bear. It came into our back yard looking for feathered snacks. They would not stop barking and it fled to the neighbor's yard and up his tree. We couldn't figure out what the dogs were going on about until Zeus finally got me to look up into the tree.

Zoom in on those front claws.... Zeus was terrified but was brave anyways. He was shaking badly when we went out, knew he was spooked, but just couldn't figure out what happened!

Does anybody else’s turkeys hate their chickens? My turkeys have always had it out for my chickens, I don’t understand quite the logistics of why, but they do.
I caught my chocolate(at the very least, brown) girl trying to fight the chickens through the fence yesterday-

I have had jakes kill and hens cripple chickens.
Turkeys hens hate when a rooster dances at them they will chase them for 15 minutes

There is also something about a fence that brings out the worst in turkeys. If there happens to be turkeys on one side of the fence, they develop special hatred for those on the other side. This is especially true for toms separated by a fence. They will maim each other through the fence trying to fight each other and cutting themselves up on the fence. You may need to put up a visual barrier. Turkeys can be pretty relentless!

The 3 new Red Sweetgrass poults ended up being 2 jakes and 1 hen. There the 3 red in the middle, along with a few other hopeful new breeders. Looking pretty good so far, the jakes are younger and not fully adult feathered yet but hen is and is looking good, that's her up front.
