Currently I can't take pictures, but I have them in a large fish tank so they can see each other through the glass.

They are located in Upper Marlboro MD.

I have 2 brooders to separate them

The first brooder is 1 feet with 8 inchs in length, and 1 feet with two inches in width.
The second brooder(this one is where the chick died) is 2 feet and 5 inches in length ,and 1 feet with 5 inches in width.

Seems kinda small I have a large 3ft x 2ft roughy rabbit cage to keep my chicks in. this light is it just a heating light or does it cast right every place? also with how small those tanks are is there a place were the chicks can get away from the heat?

Yes there's a place they can get away from the heat

The brooders are mostly used at night

also does this light only throw heat or does it cast a red glow? I ask as some people don't like those type of lights and feels it makes chicks aggressive

The heat is at one end yes.
And no other symptoms
They try to peck each other and jump on each other.
