I feed them chicken starter medicatedRight. why type of heat source are you using? something made for chicks/chickens? or is it a regular light bulb? confused what do you mean they only use the brooders at night? my chicks are in a brooder till they are old enough to be moved outside at roughly 6-8 weeks old. what are you feeding? them brand?

I would not let chicks outside at 4 weeks old unless they were hatched out under a broody hen or it was not really cold where I lived and they had a house and outdoor run. If they can jump out it means you need to put them in something they can not jump out of or put some mesh over your tanks to keep them in just to be safe. I personally think you got two roosters and if they are that aggressive at such a young as they are going to stay that way.I feed them chicken starter medicated
Theres a website saying that you can let them out at 4 weeks old. And the chicks are about 17-21 days old
It's a brooder heat lamp which has a yellowish tone.
I don't think their roosters becauseI would not let chicks outside at 4 weeks old unless they were hatched out under a broody hen or it was not really cold where I lived and they had a house and outdoor run. I already have a rooster. Wouldn't a rooster control hens?I would like to say you really cant sex chicks as young as 21 days unless they are sex link or auto sexing types rhode island reds are neither so you could still have roosters. If by some luck they are hens I personally would not keep them.
Roosters don't control hens. Roosters can also kill other roosters and hens. Each rooster is different. Again you can't sex chicks at 21 days based on Combs size and even vent sexed day old chicks could be sexed wrong.I already have a rooster. Wouldn't a rooster control hens?
