I hate to chime in again....but we need to consider a couple of other realities.
1. Under the proposed plan, in laymans terms, a Dr will be expected to see MORE patients and unfortunately be paid LESS money (I'm not a Dr....just to clarify). With that said, how many bright, young people (the future Drs, nurses, etc) will opt out of this profession simply due to the fact that they will no longer be able to earn what a Dr SHOULD earn after 8-10 yrs of school, internships, student loans, etc, etc. Do we really want someone who was NOT the head of their class treating us??
2. The ONLY way a system like this can be paid for is to increase taxes (on everyone)....sorry for the mis-informed, but there is NO FREE LUNCH. Now, to make things seem even more unfair, assume a household making $100,000 (let's use an arbitrary increase, this is not factual, only for illustration)gets a 5% increase in taxes to pay for "Obamacare"...thats an additional $5000 in taxes to that family. However, another family earning $40,000 at a 5% increase pays only $2000....for the SAME, rationed, mismanaged, less than expeditious coverage that the family paying $5000 gets. Now, IF I paid $5000 for something, I would certainly hope it would be "worth" more than something that someone paid $2000 for. I think that most rational people would agree...however, NOT THE CASE HERE!!
This system is simply another way that the current regeme choses to "redistribute wealth".
Welcome to the beginning of a 2 class society....
The "have's" and
The "have nots"
Too many other countries have gone thru similar changes to their governments, mostly either socialist or communist. I see NO shining examples of success.
Sorry for the rant....I guess government intervention in my life just sets my blood to boiling.
