Until you get the necropsy results, keep the chickens penned up. I suggest phoning the lab and mentioning the toxic plants so they can test for that.

I constantly rip at the edges of them, they can grow out of control and become annoying so I really don't know if the rips and tears would be from me or them! Can they be poisoned by hanging out in them?

Nah, I'm pretty sure they would have to be eating them to get sick. That purple comb is odd. They are breathing totally normal, right?

They definitely haven't dug up bulbs but it's very possible they've munched on the green leaves/stems.

I just read that iris and daffodils are poisonous to chickens and I have loads of them! Could this be what's happening? Should I remove all?

I have those and many more plants that are registered as poisonous, but I’m quite sure I had no dead chickens because of it. Most (I can’t speak for all) chickens know they shouldn’t eat them. And poisonous plants are not dangerous as long as they are not starving / not chopped and fed to chickens.
