>~* A Howl At Midnight>~* A FORGOTTEN DOGS ROLEPLAY!

Star let out a sob, curled in the corner of the camp. Her wounds, infected and burning like poison. She let out a whimper pain, with no one to treat her wounds. If only she could make it to Squrrielflight. The orange coyote told her that she would help her, no matter what pack they where in.

Eon paced around the lineup of wolves that collected in the middle of camp. She stared each of them down diligently like a customer figuring out menu items, it was as if time was stretched out like pizza dough it took so long for her to finally halt infront of a dark furred wolf. She looked into his sun-yellow eyes and smirked.
"You." She began, lifting a paw toward his chest.
"You seem suitable, Shadowfoot, is it? You're my pack's new beta."

*dab*

Antler couldn't help but be disappointed that Eon's gaze hadn't lingered on him, even though he knew Shadowfoot was much better suited to the role of beta. He said nothing, sitting ramrod straight with his head held high.

"WELL IT'S ABOUT TIME"
(Jkjkjk :lau)

"...me?", inquired Shadowfoot, before realising it's best not to question superiors. But now he was a superior... Or was he? Why would Eon pick him? A wolf with only half his sight and practically still licking his wounds. "Well you better respond quick or you might not be Beta!", Shadowfoot thought to himself. He sat up straighter and woofed, "I will protect Storm Pack until my dying breath, Alpha." Shadowfoot, Beta of Storm Pack, had a nice ring to it.

Slate felt his spirits leap. He would actually have to be careful around Shadowfoot, but he made a mental note to execute his next prank on the new Beta.

Eon felt better now since she finally did something to move the plot along

Kestrel read his homeboi's mind and squinted in his direction. "You have no boundries, Slate."

*throws brick of reality at Storm Pork*

Eon crept up from behind a cluster of bramble huts, eyeing her destination. Without a second thought, or a glance to her side, she leaped up onto the reign rock to see the murmuring scattered pack, collecting her thoughts and adopting a business-like stance. "Everyone here, gather by the reign rock for an important announcement"

And yes I have hypocrite's rights for anyone who's coming up behind me with a pair of tongs.

(Rip)
Scar sauntered over to Manny, trying to hide a slight limp with her slow, relaxed manner. "What was that all about?" she queried, watching Reed retreat into his den with ears pricked.

(Storm)
Stripepup shot up, hearing voices outside the den. "C'mon, Batpup!" he yipped, nudging his blind sister's flank, "Beta's gonna say something!"

"Go away," Batpup mumbled, "can't you see I'm sleeping?" but she got up anyway, curiously following her hyperactive brother into the clearing.

(River)
Troutfin trotted up, "I'll come," he woofed, eager to get out of the camp. It smelled like blood and grief, and he was itching to run again.

Manny hardly spared Scar a glance, his gaze fixed on some small point on the distant horizon. "Alpha thinks Brindlepup is ready for the Naming Journey," he said simply, then seemed to snap out of the distant haze his mind was obviously in. "If you're up to it, you could probably take a small hunting patrol out to the far border, were going to need food soon."

@HeavensHens88 COME ON YA TERDBASKET

@HeavensHens888 YEA WHAT SHE SAID
no frens she ded wheres ur memerez lol

(Rip)
Scar nodded, her mind temporarily on Brindlepup. Then she pushed the pup's odd situation out of her mind and looked at Manny. "Of course," she woofed, looking around for anyone to join her hunting patrol.

*is so tempted to make a new rip charrie*

Brindlepup sat in her nest, alone in the Belle's den. Any day before and she would've been outside, bouncing around other dogs' paws and getting on their nerves til they made Reed take her and Duskypup out on "patrol." But now... now the den was an empty cavern, a den of vipers coiled around Brindlepup's heart, squeezing and hissing, bringing memories from the previous night to the forefront of her mind. She shook her head and growled to herself, then willed herself to stand up. She had to get up and do something.

Calampitypup was outside, curled up beside her mother's corpse. Brindlepup had almost resorted to dragging her younger friend away from the mangled she-yote, until a she-dog from another pack had gently herded her to the Belle's den. Quietly, she approached her. She was sleeping lightly, her paws twitching and lips curling as she dreamed. Brindlepup decided to leave her alone for now. The sight of Calamitypup made her miss Shadow even more.

Hushed yipping came from the hunter's dens, and she turned around to see Scar trotting away from them with a slightly annoyed look on her face. "Scar!" Brindlepup called, wheeling to intercept her. "Are you going hunting? I need to get out of here so bad..."

(Rip)
Scar pricked her ears, looking down at the young coydog. "You can come," she grunted, "but we won't bring back anything unless we find a few more coyotes to join." She glared at the den behind her. "Especially since none of the hunters seem willing to get out of their beds." Just then, Scar noticed another coydog at the edge of camp, who was uneasily picking her way through the bodies of the fallen from the night before. "Rocket!" Scar barked, "I need you for a hunting patrol!"

Jade, a coyote, slinked towards them. "I'll go," she said quietly, because I really need to establish her properly in the plot.

(XD noice)

Brindlepup wagged her tail, glad for the other dog's company. She stood and waited for something else to happen because Zelda doesn't know how to make this post interesting. Oh wait yes I do.

Manny loped up to the slowly growing patrol. "Brindlepup, Alpha wants Owl to assess you for the Naming Journey today. Don't tire yourself out too much," the big white dog cautioned.

Brindlepup nodded dutifully. "Okay, thanks Manny."

Manny nodded and returned to his post at the camp entrance, and Zelda officially ran out of ideas.

Garrett felt like rping, but now he doesn't. Garrett's a procrastinator.

Don't be like Garrett.
Actually be like Garrett because he eventually does it anyway.
Saeah doesn't.

I feel like I should announce this in case Sarah forgets. XD

So, our beloved @HeavensHens88 is moving at the end of August (I think) to a new house, and she won't have WiFi. She's hoping to get a lot of RPing done before she leaves, but I'm not sure what we'd be able to do once she does move... So yeah *yeets bombshell*
Welp frens this is why you don't tell people anything
Ignore this blonde falsity, it no longer bears truth.
And it's not like I'm even around here enough to be important anyway. :D

(Oh well yay more hunters)
*teleports Jade into scene*

"Oh, heya Jade" said Brindlepup. "You're hunting now cuz I'm alpha's daughter and said so." She then proceeded to dab cuz I forgot how to actually RP.
Owl skulked from the corner where she had been consuming stolen whispers and morsels of information as though they were the choice picks of prey from a leaf-lush pile. "I'd like to tag along." Her thick purr dripped with laziness, although it was apparent that she wasn't casually asking to join- she was firmly stating.

Birch nuzzled her sisters pelt, her white muzzle turning red with Ash's blood. She sat back, letting out a mournful howl."Sister....Please...I need you to come back."A soft pitter patter sounded, like soft rain. But it Wasnt rain. It was the tears of the great she dog.
Breeze barely kept from grinding her teeth to stubs as Birch fell apart over her unconscious sister and moved back. "Birch," she muttered, her voice edging to gravely irritation but steadily bordering back onto polite compliance. "She'll be awake soon enough." Getting the infirm Alpha out of her den and present for her dogs to see would greatly improve their morale, despite her instability. And if I have to deal with one more post-traumatic-death suicidal individual...."I swear it on my rank and place in this pack." Most dogs do regain consciousness before dying, true too.
And if she dies in her sleep
Screw me and the stupidity I was birthed with.

"I'll fetch you the instant she moves. And besides, I saved you yourself from death too many times to list on one paw- surely you trust me." Her last words were spoken lightly, but she hoped the stark logic hammered them into Birch's dense skull with much more force.
Tone softening, Breeze hooked Birch's pooling eyes with her own, willing some mutual determination to eliminate the infectious lack of drive there with a good dose of constructive psychology. "I know you need to be here, but they need you too."

Redfeather nodded. Shadowfoot certainly was suitable. He felt like the leadership of the pack was going the right way.

Fog stood up from the base of the Reign Rock, his tail flagging with relief. Though it might not have been the most code-adhering ceremony, Eon certainly had picked well for her second. His reservation and darker cunning would balance out well with her bold, assertive hold on the pack.
"Alpha chose well with you, Beta," he called over to the black wolf, not even sure if it'd be right for a howl to be carried up after this unconventional inauguration.

Eon felt better now since she finally did something to move the plot along

Kestrel read his homeboi's mind and squinted in his direction. "You have no boundries, Slate."
Ivypup customarily glared at Shadowfoot with a mix of disgust and reverence. She didn't worry about betraying her dissatisfaction with his nomination; a version of a grimace was all she wore now. She just couldn't bring herself to muster respect for the newest member of the twisted leadership team. He was supposedly known for his ingenuity and sly cruelty, and here he was foolishly stammering over a ritual response?
If there's any decent wolves left by the end of this season, I'll honestly be shocked.

Jade didn't like this Owl very much cause I think she is supposed to be evil or something this was like three months how am I supposed to remember anything? Jade kept her thoughts to herself though and said "Sounds like a wonderful idea Owl, the more the merrier!" She pranced around for good measure and pretended to be cheerful, but she was only trying to convince herself that everything was just as it had been before so many of her packmates had died. She guarded her heart with a feeble coat of lies, but the crushing truth ripped through with a fearsome blow. All the same, she looked happy.

"I think this is enough," Scar muttered, waiting a few moments for Rocket to join the patrol. She gave Jade a sideways glance, confused at why she was so cheerful. There are bodies still strewn about camp; it's only been one day since the battle. Why is she skipping about like a newborn fawn? Scar snorted, for some reason amused at the comparison.

Rocket, who was practically trotting in place, suddenly let out an impatient bark. "What are we waiting for? Let's go out and kill some small animals!"

Frosty wondered how one dog could make so many tears.

Stripepup poked Ivypup in the back. "Hey, why do you still have a pup-name?" he yipped, then realized two seconds later that he was probably going to regret this decision.
