>~* A Howl At Midnight>~* A FORGOTTEN DOGS ROLEPLAY!

(I`m going to do it now *Sigh* I`m going to hate myself for this. BTW @HeavensHens88 Night is going to be a little different from now on. but MAYBE not too much)

Night was pulled back into reality- The she-wolf wasn`t fighting and the fighting all around him had stopped, the packs gathering with their own, and as his eyes flicked over the battle ground, they found a black body and froze.
Dark Storm.
Dark Storm was dead. The battle was over. Storm pack had lost, but so had River, and Rip, and Canyon. Today there was no winner. Everyone had lost. Everyone had lost someone dear to them.
And for him it was his sister. And his sanity.
The love for peace that he had guarded so close over the years.
Grief suddenly hit him like the most powerful wave, or the coldest ice storm. For his sister, for all his friends that would never see another sunrise, even for Canyon pack and Rip pack. But not for Storm pack. Never again would he pity them. He was done being hung over kindness. A snarl vibrated from the depths of his chest, he was done, he was done with them, he hated them. He allowed the hate he had fought off for so long to finally settle into his heart, the ice that had hung in his chest finally slithered into his heart, freezing it. That deep ache in his chest dispersed. An eerie calmness settled over him.
The old Night was dead.
And the new just born.
He suddenly became aware of the whimpering she-wolf under him. He slowly got off her and sat down beside her.
Night studied the white scrap of fur that was a pathetic excuse of a wolf. Her flanks were ripped open, there were various puncher wounds on her back, and a chunk of her fluffy white tail was missing.
"Move and I`ll kill you."
Oh mai goodness o-o

That was so beautifully deep *-*

Kestrel swam. He opened his mouth, and got water in his throat and coughed.

Slate did the backstroke up to where Kestrel was.
Jkjkjk

Slate sped up, matching his speed with Kestrel's, and swam along side him. Because that's what bros do. They do everything side by side. And look like bosses while they do it.

Stream raised an ear, nothing more than mildly concerned. "Well, then," she replied briskly. Something remnant of an amused twitch attacked the raised ear. "Go welcome them."
Dust shifted uneasily, would these dogs believe him if he said what all he had scented? He had always trusted these dogs but could he trust them now? I have to tell them. They have a right to know. "Yes Streak I do. It`s Dotpup." he paused "There are three I think, all female. But- But the strange thing is it is a adult female, Dotpup, and a Rip packer pup I think."
Stream's eyes slanted as his last words caught up with her brain. "We never recovered Dotpup?" Her rising tone was laced with savage disbelief. "You mean to say....the whole reason we involved ourselves in the war is still in the paws of the enemy?!" She slowly backed away from the free, her head climbing to a far rise above her hunched shoulders. Her voice was coldly calm as she continued her rhetorical questioning of their incomplete retreat. "If that's true then, that we left the pup behind, then our Alpha died for nothing." Her pulled lips began to reveal a fiercely clenched jaw. "All of the others and my missing sister most likely died for a pup who's now an orphan and still outside our borders?!" Her flanks shook, filtering the enraged breaths as they quickened. "WHAT KIND OF IDIOTS ARE YOU?!" Her eyes flamed their way not only across their shocked faces, but scorched every muzzle in camp. "ALL OF YOU." None dared meet her eyes as the passed over like an airborne wildfire, igniting their fury on whatever face unlucky enough not to duck. But it wasn't the strength of her anger that shocked them so- it was the fact that Stream, their perpetually collected Beta, was in a rage, and a justifiable one at that.
Suddenly, she fell back into her own legs, something new and unexpected contorting her distressed mien. "What kind of idiot am I?" The sudden redirection of blame sang her that she was immediately contrite from her ill choice of chastisement. They all had lost so much. It was utterly wrong to suggest that she'd lost the most, and so prematurely, too. They'd only just left the battlefield- half of the wounded were still making their way back. No one would be able to fully plumb the amount of casualties for many restless days. To force more fault onto them....
Bouncing back from her dissociative stances, Stream recovered the best she could her assertive stability. "Where is the dog that insisted we retrieve this pup in the first place?" Her eyes narrowed as they searched the pack's diminished and even more so tattered ranks. "Where is Coal?"
She spun back to face Redfern and his wary comrades. "And you. Go get that pup. Now."
Dust stayed eerily calm through her rage but as soon as she told them to go his nose went to the ground and he was running, clashing through the undergrowth. Tail waving behind him to get the lower ranked Redfern and Iron to follow. Who were running at his heels.

Lickpup unexpectedly crept closer to Stream "They didn`t get Dotpup? But- But- then why?" She whimpered in a bare whisper
Streak nodded silently to Stream, turning around to follow Redfern, Iron, and Dust. He sniffed the air, finally detecting the scent of the three dogs. What are those foolish Rip packers doing at the edge of our territory? He thought with a growl.
Brindlepup cocked her head in confused worry and bounced over to Rocket. "Where?"

Reed remained completely oblivious because my phone is dying.

Coal stirred, her long black foreleg pushing the sand away from her. She groaned and rolled over, sand sticking to the blood that plastered the side of her face and giving her an even more startling appearance. Her one yellow eyes caught the light of the moon and glowed white in it's beam. "I'll find her," she growled, determination straining her already exhausted voice.
Rocket started marching out of the cave, stiffening as the smell of blood and death suddenly hit her nostrils again. "Follow me," she yipped, trying to sound cheerful, but failing.

Brindlepup flinched at the smell, but forced herself not to gag and dutifully followed Rocket over to Calamitypup. She trotted up to her and nosed her gently, then sat down beside her, saying nothing.

That pup is joining them, thought Jade. She wondered what was going to happen to Brindlepup.

Rocket gave Jade a sideways glance. What's she doing, spying on Beta? she thought, cocking her head at Jade.
