~A Wisp of Sand~ a a desert cat tribe rp

Mongoose twitched her torn ears irritably. "Then I suppose were rouges then." She looked at her now demolished drawing. "If were going to help the snapping river tribe. Then there true leader has final say in what to do with their traitors." She said stiffly, she stood, sizing up the tom. Her pelt still prickled with awareness of the voice she had heard, but the desert was cruel, and that's just how it was.
"Just because we don't follow a code doesn't mean we're rogues." Flame pointed out evenly. He glanced at his mate, Thunder, for help.

"We just never had any trouble with each other and other Tribes. Perhaps it's because we move so much, but many savannah Tribes have no problems either. I mean our culture is like that of other Tribes, like with mating only cats from other Tribes, but we don't need a code. We do have to escape lions and stuff, but there are few things hunting us either." Replied Night.

"Just because we don't follow a code doesn't mean we're rogues." Flame pointed out evenly. He glanced at his mate, Thunder, for help.
"yet, you talk of killing for revenge, with your followers." her tail lashed, she gave a pointed look to river. "if we do what we think is right, then how are we not like them?" she looked to the hint of green over the sands. "they think its right for them to kill." she said. your just trying to protect him. your trying to protect a killer! her own voice hissed. "that's why there is a code..so that justice is not molded like river mud. it stays true and straight, even while cats do not." she said, feeling a pang for home. "this code, was written by creatures far wiser than us. it was written by creatures that sway like giant trees." she recited the ancient story. that's lizard brained how could cats ever learn what Thunderer's think! her mind snapped back at her. (HINT HINT!)

She let out a breath. "a code is not just about borders and hunting, it's about how we treat each other, with kindness and fairness..you believe in those things, don't you?" She searched there gazes, realizing her own harshness. She knew she was a dried up snake, heaped with salt. But maybe that could change.

"Who said we have to kill him? We`ll let it be decided and judged what to do with him, but with how many he has killed the safest is to make sure cats stay safe." River hissed "And why are you defending him? a murderer? And why are you so angry we don`t need a code? We`er not the Snapping River tribe! This is the way our tribe is, so don`t get mad we aren`t different!" She snarled "Yes, that`s why we don`t need one! We haven`t had problems with that kind of stuff! And you can`t force a cat to be kind!" River snapped
~
Thunders fur stood on end "Both of you SHUT UP! We`ll need a code if cat`s like you two keep bickering! River don`t speak that way! And YOU can`t change us new comer! We have our way in, we have cats to save the Snapping River tribe, and that`s it!" She took a breath "Look you don`t know yet how we work, but we don`t need a code. And I think it`s all the better we don`t." She said much kinder She looked around at the gathered cats "It means we are good to one and other on free will, we don`t need a rule, a code to make us be kind clan mates!"

Mongoose closed her open jaws. "sorry." she muttered, settling her ruffled fur. she hadn't meant to snap at river. "I..Just wanted to...I don't want us to be like them." she said, images of snapping teeth and falsehoods flashed in her head. she looked around. these cats are happy, like we were.. before we abandoned what we had agreed to.. a code of truth..we all wanted to follow it..but we let Cobra rule..and we became the miserable wretches we are today. (Mongoose is such a stick in the mud XD btw, here's the finished art for Thorn! hope ya like it! she just happened to be the one I finished first, River and Crimson are coming up!)
