So, the neighbours have finally made enough noise of their own and my city council have issued me with a notice of abatement for noise considered a "statutory nuisance" I have done all i can to keep my birds quiet -unfortunately it seems that there are no further solutions to resolve this other tha. Rehoming norbert and beep beep - i have found a new home, where they can stay together - I would just like to say thank you for all the support and advice this community has given me in raising my boys and wish you all the best

Not to step on any toes, but if you live rural you wouldn’t have people, or neighbors, trying to tell you how to live.
After reading your post I can’t imagine the government trying to tell me I must get rid of my pets(family) that I had raised up and spent so much time and money on. I guess one of the still great things about America is that you have that choice to live where you want. I know the choice can be a lot more complex though. Sorry to hear that man.

Agreed, that’s part of the complexity that I was referring to. However, in most of those areas where “the money and opportunities are not always there“ you will find that the cost of living is extremely lower. Not to mention if you are a entrepreneur that means less competition and a chance to be your own boss. Growing up in Alabama my parents were able to build a 750,000$ house that would have costed a couple million if it were built in California.

I’m so sorry @Leader Bee Im sorry it had to come to this and your neighbors aren’t reasonable. Is it possible for you to be able to visit your boys and is it possible that you could be able to get them back if you end up living in the country where birds are allowed? I don’t know if I could go through what you’re having to or live with neighbors that toxic.

On those grounds I would fight the decision, a goose is no louder than the “egg song,” I can hear my neighbor’s girls egg song and he’s a half mile off. Sorry for my language but this is bs.

@Goosebaby thank you for your support - do you remember my boys were in the national newspaper a few weeks ago? (They even made some foreign articles online too) I went back to the press agency which published it with these new events and they will be running a story tomorrow; in all honesty, i don't think that it will help me at all but im just looking for something.. anything at the moment...i think i should be able to visit them at the new place but its not the same....i would understand a little better if they were just "livestock" but theyre pets which have made a bond with me and I them.
