Okay, if it was three days ago that you made the safety hole, I think we need to slowly begin the full assist. As soon as I noticed the bruise, the day I went to put it in lockdown. 3 days ago.
Thank you,This baby will take 48-72 hours after the safety hole
So dont rush this process
Yoy shouldn’t see anything for a few days
As long as air can get in the baby will now breath and absorb
Yes,Have you been incubating every single egg she laid?![]()
I’m so scared! What if the yolk sac isn’t completely absorbed???Okay, if it was three days ago that you made the safety hole, I think we need to slowly begin the full assist.
@New duck mommy 2021 its time to open the hole to the size of about a dime, right?
OK. I wasn't sure if you were aware of but there's no reason to incubate every single egg, especially if it's the 1st time laying. Usually young duck or chicken eggs don't do as well as a seasoned layer.Yes,
She never went broody, no matter how hard we tried she just scattered her eggs and laid them everywhere!
We would put them in her brooder box and she’d kick them out!
She’s only 9 months and this was her first time laying.
She started on January 23rd and just stopped a week ago! Ugh!
You do realize that eggs can be saved in a clutch. They don't have to be incubated immediately. She's also less than a year old, I'm not surprised she didn't bother brooding,Yes,

That not even 48 hours ago
Amy please just leave the baby be to absorb
Yoy are trying to rush things
I just had 2 assists myself and I made a small hole and My babies did not make the hole bigger
Mine sat left to absorb
One was 56 hours after safety hole
Other was 60 hours.
They were ready
No bleeding. No yolk and no cords
The smaller the hole the less bugging you do. They don’t dry up
I was able to candle the front of my egg and see the veins were gone before I helped them out
