Abscess caused by raccoon attack

Friday night my salmon faverolle was attacked by a racoon and my neighbor managed to interupt the attack. After cleaning her wounds I set her up in a hospital cage and let her calm down for the night. On Saturday when I went to clean her wounds her "eye" had begun to swell and started weeping pus. I started her on Meloxicam and amoxicillin twice a day, and that seems to have helped significantly but underneath her eye has an abscess. Will I need to drain this? What's the beat way to do so?
