So cute! The blind chicks will get the powdered feed in their eyes because they can’t see. They will flail their faces into the food with their eyes open, and they will get tiny barely visible crumbs in there. You have to check them constantly, it will go from fine to gooped shut, to infection and death in hours. If the eye gets gooped shut you have to find the tiny particle, it may even be under the eye lid, if you don’t find it, it will die, it’s a delicate dance, you can’t stress it too much or let it get chilled, but you have to open the eye and really search around. Keep it in a small space with powdered feed right under the heat light, or it won’t find it, keep water close by, but not directly under the light. They are crazy hard to keep alive the first week, it gets easier after that. You may need to keep some sugar water nearby and give it a tiny bit every few hours for the first day or so.

About the feed dust ... what about fermenting feed or moisten?
If it all more time than you have, you may want to rehome to someone that wants to do what ever it needs. I have a Serama that I got from a friend that was thought to have an URI which I took on, she was going to cull. It took advice from members, a Vet's visit and a try wait & see attitude. Got pretty discouraging at times but she's fine now & her eyes have been good, she's fine living alone in her section of the brooder & has the run of the patio/yard and bonded with one of my dogs, hates the other.

It looks good so far no crazy defects I can see, don’t be surprised if it can see a bit now, but in my experience it usually passes in time. My albinos always end up blind, the double silvers sometimes maintain some sight.
I wonder if you kept them in an darkened area it would help with their eye's developing to a point they could handle brighter light?....I've never had an albino hatch, so I have no idea! Just a random thought.

I'm at my wits end on getting it to eat so I took out my secret weapon the super motherly broody Shana our pied who raises babies and accepts them she seems finished recovering from a head injury which is why u can see so much pink I'm glad the swelling has been gone for weeks now anyways she seems to be randomly eating thanks to either Shana s presence or maybe she bird talked on how to eat or maybe they can partially see and she showed it either way so far eating darn it now I need to set up the medical ben as a brooder

Pics of it eating I just took rn I can't tell if she taught it to search plus it's natural foraging instinct s all buttons born with but hey it's eating had to separate she's not ready for babies she didn't want it under her, Shana left a poop and it looks like the chicks done 1-2 tiny poos so hopefully foods going in I see it pecking at it, also the person I hatched th coturnix for said I can raise it if it's male they will take it if female gf for anubis ( don't remember if I said that) I'll do a video of it eating after work tomorrow I just did multiple pics cuz I remembered u have to upload to yt and link it and I'm gonna go sleep after checking these notifications , what do you button hatchers think of it's color on its coat so far

At this point I think it's the pink eyed delute gene but yeah really good point

I'll be the downer. Any genetic that causes a bird to require special care I see as a defect. Even more of a downer I cull chicks with any defects, I know many people like to try to raise special birds and more power to them. My birds aint pets and I don't have the time for it.

Got it to nibble a few bites yesterday I think hard to see and it's mostly interested in cuddles sleep and water but I woke up to a baby coturnix hatching I think Italian cuz it looks just like one of the parents that hatched cuz I remember selling her the left over babies, and I had to check if the early pipper needed help well I found a nice little poo on the paper towel I'm like good now I just need to get you too learn to eat regularly and I'll be set
