I ordered the muscovy from an ebay person a state over they are supposed to be every color and "rare" colors??? lol knowing my luck the white one will live and be the only one???
I ordered a dozen, received 13 and had at least 8?? that looked promising, now keep in mind I am not holding my breath, but we will see come easter!

I was doing egg-topsies and this duckling was still moving in the egg. It's bill was way down at the bottom of the egg almost by the point. I had to perform surgery without getting a vein. I'm not sure if it'll make it but so far it's good. The veins are receding now that it's breathing.

I was only supposed to have 3 ducklings but if this one makes it, I will be keeping it.

It's about 50+ hours since hatch time so either it was going to die or I help it. So I helped...

ducks can be so much fun to hatch... or a pain in the .....

look at all those necked necks! Ok this was several hours ago we have 2x this many in the brooder now... sorry I have not tried to keep an accurate count but I think there are 5 new black Nn in the brooder and 3 more in the incubator. Not counting all my brahma crosses and green eggers.... so excited. Oh and one duck out so far
 
I tried to count the little darlings, and got to 30 b4 they had me confused??? I know there are more than 30 but not how many more :barnie :idunno
Lost a duck overnight and had a friend claim the black and white one so that will leave 6 out of this hatch.
Oh sent some ducks and turkeys home with 4h kids yesterday. So we are down 18 bigger mouths so the additional 30ish small mouths totally don't count, right???

So far 13 are out plus 2 turkeys!
5 out of the red necked neck eggs!
3 black necked necks
One out of a white leghorn hen covered by a Ee rooster
2 fully feathered blacks
One necked neck from a green egg and one full feathered yellow chick???
Out of 12 marsns eggs 10 were showing movement when I added a safety hole(just in case)
