Adding new chick to mums of four?

After my two broody hens (they're co-parenting) left the coop with their four new chicks I went in to remove the unwanted eggs....but one started cheeping. The chick has hatched in the incubator now, I would guess its 2 days behind the others.
Its still wobbly on its feet so I was going to wait a day or so until it can run and then see if the hens will take it in. Ive tried this once before with no success. My chickens aren't in a pen either they're free range.

Any tips?

Try putting it underneath one hen at night, and hope for the best?

Could you put one hen in a pen and tuck this chick under her at night, leaving the other hen to parent the 4 older chicks? Then release this one and it's "mom" a day or so later.

Its absolutely pouring down today so the hens have stayed in the coop. I've taken this chance and put the new chick in (I would rather do this in the day so I can keep an eye on it). All seems good so far, but will check regularly. Fingers crossed!
