Adult hen has never layed any eggs.

We have a 9 month old Barred Rock hen. The chicken has never layed any eggs and seems to be in good health. The chicken fully developed combs and wattles, and is active in her flock. She is full sized and very well cared for. Her sisters have been laying for several months including the winter. I have confirmed she is not a rooster. If anybody knows why she is not be laying, please let us know.

She's not molting? How much light are you getting a day? Are your other ladies the same age as her?

The hen is not molting and gets about 14 hours of light a day. She is the same age as her flockmates and they are laying.

Here are the best photos I could get. We are feeding them Purina layer pellets suppimented with mealworms and scratch.

9 months may be a bit of a concern, especially since her flock mates already started. But I wouldn’t be very concerned about it yet.
It’s likely that she’s just a late bloomer. She should start laying in the spring. I hope she does.

Maybe a late bloomer.
Maybe she is a stressy type. No signs of fearfull behaviour?
Maybe this hen is infertile. This happens occasionally.
I would wait until spring to be sure.
