Hi, I am at a total loss. I have 25 adult turkeys (broad breasted) that are about 30 pound. I’ve been finding one dead every few days. They have food and water and appear healthy and they just die. This is my first year raising turkeys and I am very discouraged about my losses. I started with 33 and I have lost 8 (all as larger adults). They are scheduled for processing in a few weeks, but at this rate I may not have any left.

Any ideas? Suggestions?

Thank you

Hi @drckbdrj Welcome To BYC:frow

I'm sorry to hear about your losses.
Let's see if someone familiar with Turkeys can help @casportpony @R2elk

You may also want to post on the Turkeys Forum you may get more answers there.

While you are waiting for someone to help - list any symptoms that you have observed (lethargy, not eating/drinking, odd behavior etc.), give us some photos of their poop, tell us about housing and what type of feed you provide.

When you find a dead turkey, what condition is it in?? Any clues or hints at the scene? Or symptoms prior to the death? Is it very hot where you live? Predators?

It sounds like it's a mystery to you... Hopefully we can figure out what's happening!
