Phones are not made to last.

If your actually phone itself is older model then it will probably not even be capable to download a newer Android version.


If your phone is running an unsupported android version it means it won't work good (basically)... there is nothing a website can do to help "older/unsupported" stuff work better.

The problem is something to do with the ads and for many the problem started with the adds.

It is a good reminder that older phones are problematic but it is a bit elitist to tell members that they need to get a new phone.

The point of adding the ads is to get more ad revenue...which you will not get if people ditch BYC due to their phones not working.

to @Nifty-Chicken and all: Turn the ads off and run a sandbox version until the issues are figured out. There is a risk that people will leave and not come back

It's not about me telling anyone to go out and buy a new phone.
I'm simple stating if you are using an old device you will have problems...that the problem is not with the website it is with the device.

If your device is unsupported by the manufacturer of the software there isn't anything ANYONE can do.
