I've got two chicks that are a few days over 6 weeks old. I'm a little worried that one (Buffy) may be a roo as "her" tail feathers may be a bit too pointy for a hen. The other one (Hoot) I'm less worried about but figured it may be good to check since I'm not too good at sexing chickens. I would like to know/ verify both breeds as well.
Thanks to anyone with help!

All pictures (except for the ones as chicks) were taken yesterday.

Here's Buffy: I was told Orpington when we got her from the feed store but I'm not sure if that's right. She's the one I'm more worried about. It's illegal here to have roosters in the city so I'm really hoping she isn't.

As a chick:

Here's Hoot: Told Ameraucana as her breed.

Thanks again!!

Thanks everyone! That's good to hear. This is my first time raising chicks and I didn't want to have to give one up!
Buffy definitely looks just like the pics of the RIR hens. I am so relieved!
