My BFF is permanently disabled and draws a little over 800.00 per month in SSDI...She is also a divorced mother of two that gets child support off and on, her hubby is typical deadbeat dad and there isn't anything left that she can do about it. Even though financially she can't rely on him paying because most of the time he quits his jobs so he doesn't have to pay, Welfare still counts what he is SUPPOSED to pay her as income so she is living in a home that the landlord is taking section 8 for just for her...Her part of the rent is close to 300.00pm plus another 245 pm auto ins. plus utilities, food, gas, etc...Something always has to lapse in hopes that she gets a child support check to pay it. Do you know that Welfare dept won't give her anything? Nothing no food stamps no utility help, nothing because they are adding in child support she isn't even recieving on a regular basis. And before SSDI kicked in and she was lucky enough to get something from them, it was only 175.00 pm in food stamps. Then there are those folks out there who CAN work and choose not to because they know they have the welfare system to fall back on, and their the ones that are getting free everything. Something wrong with that picture.
How YOU doin'...Have a great evening, Cindy
