I think I may have misunderstood... you didn't incubate them in the carton, not turning them, did you? I always hatch in a carton... I can fit more eggs in the hatcher that way.

But I've lost a few that pipped low, and the carton sucked up the moisture and they died. So this time I hatched the BCMs lying down.

Oh no, they went into that carton after I took them out of the turner. Ok, well I guess this isnt something new then!~

PaulaJoAnne, do you get your produce from Wolf Lake Wellness? I have been thinking about signing up, but didn't want to pay the fee and then not use it because the produce wasn't any good.

Amy gave me this little guy in exchange for one of my Cinnamomn Queen chicks.
It's suposed to be older than the chicks I have.
It's eating the same stuff as my other chicks, but is not thriving.
It has not moved, and weighs about 1/4 of what the other chicks do. It's skin and bones (literally).
And it sits with it's bum in the air and doesn't seem to be able to walk (falls over).
I gave it sugar water, and raw egg-yolk to try to boost it up.
Still no change.

Any advice?

I gave her sugar water and gatorade orally.

UPDATE: Her crop was completely empty. I filled it with fluids and yolk using a syringe.
I don't know what else to do for the little guy.
