Just checking in now that I have a minute. I never knew how addicted to BYC I was until hubby came home!

Out of the 5 BCM the other day I had 3 hatch, one was upside down and died. The other died in the shell. I'm now watching my 30-40 something Bobwhites pop
out. I swear, there is nothing like watching these guys hatch. One second you'll have one or two, you look away for a second and there are 20!

I have a broody BCM sitting on 10 eggs, Paula inspired me to try this broody thing. It'll be so cool if this girl sticks to it, so far she hasn't budged since I set her yesterday
in her own little area....

All the rabbit babies are doing wonderful, I have a stinking suspicion that the little light grey is a GIRL!!!

I have new photos of them as well, if I can get my battery charged....

With hubby home, Bear stands in full swing, moved 8 yards of dirt yesterday, getting the greenhouse shelves finished, getting the plant starts out of the house, meat bird pen isn't even set up yet (they are due
Friday) and getting ready to have a garage sale.......... I am whooped. Not to mention the normal everyday chores!.....Gotta love spring!

Whew!! I'm tired!!!
The new chicken run is complete, and I have blocked off the old one, and seeded it with wheat and spelt. Laid down a thin layer of hay, and now the sprinkler is hard at work, soaking it.
Yesterday, I built a pallet composter in a corner of the old run, and filled it with all the winter coop cleanings.
I trust the seed will have grown enough, to turn the chickens out on it by the middle of June.
Then I will seed the second run.

Broodies are doing well. Looking forward to more peepers next week.
In a little while, I need to get going on building 3 Aframe tractors to make the meatbird adventure a bit easier this time around.

Sadly, with the cochins starting to molt and also being so broody, we are getting very few eggs.

The RIRs are a sorry mess from molting, and have turned so mean towards all the others.
They are not laying much, and adding in the meanness, they are going to freezer camp as soon as we can spare a moment.
Its getting to spendy to keep feeding all the non layers.

Okay so the other day I had that one lil butt whos legs were out in front and couldnt walk, well I tried the donut thing that was mentioned an the lil booger climbed out of it over and over. Anywhos last night it started walking and today its runnin all over the place!! Whoo hoo 100% hatch!! And so far all doing well now
