new mini horse or two dwarf goats?...... thoughts?

I have been looking into both for a while I have had horses forever and trained quite a few minis over a few summers so thats not a biggie but goats would be a new adventure.

Yeeaaah... i couldnt wait.. I candled the duck eggs, so far we just finished day 3 and three of the eggs have a heartbeat and veins!!

yay! the fourth was a darker color so i cant see into it as well but it appears as though it had some red in it as well. Still too early to tell w the chukar, pheasants and bobwhites. but im stoked!!

Well I woke up to one of my chicks hatched with its yolk exploded allover the place. Im not sure what do to do about that? and another one that looks like
it's leg is backwards?
The yard sale was supposed to be this Friday and Sat, but I don't know. We are expecting 200 chicks by Saturday I doubt we'll want to deal with both.
Jim still has two weeks home.....

Yea the one with the yolk problem has it's intestines sticking out as well....so it'll be culled as soon as I can get the incubator open........

The one with the leg problem has me puzzled. Jim said it looks like the hip is out of socket? It's twisted inward....

Can he move his leg? I had one a long time ago that had a leg like that and it was just a defect, he ended up living with the rest of the chickens without a problem.. Hopefully this little guy will be ok

Yep he can wiggle his leg around, just cant walk with it...I'll give him some time. THey are the most adorable chicks I have ever seen!

Hopefully he does good. Mine could walk on it. It might be dislocated, could have it looked at or try to relocate it yourself ??

Update on the eggs; I couldnt wait until day 10, im so impatient!

BUT three of four duck eggs is fertile, the three are growing great and have little heartbeats! So exciting! All 18 of my pheasants were candled and only two arent growing. YAY!

I cant yet see anything in ANY of the chukar eggs or the quails, but theyre just on day three so im giving them a couple more days, ill candle again on day 5.

I hope everybody is doing good, I know youre loving your babies and eagerly awaiting the hatches!
