Alerts not disappearing?

Hey guys!
This isn't a big problem, but I'm really just curious to why its happening.
I will get an alert for a post I am following, (for some reason its only been happening on the article "Tips and tricks for raising ducks") then when I click on it and got to the comment, the alert doesn't' go away. The read (1) notification still stays in the top of the screen signaling that I have an alert. I open the alerts section, and its the same alert. Anyone else notice this?

Example-

I see the alert and click on it-

Then, go to the comment, and the alert signal and alert is still there-

Ps. When I hit the "mark read" button it goes away.

Yeah, my alerts were sticking also and not going away. I discovered, as @Weeg pointed out, clicking on "mark as read" will make the alert go away if it doesn't automatically disappear.

I know. Little things can be very annoying. To some of us picky persons, anyway.

I’ve also had this issue. Only with article notifications though. Not a super big deal though, just something I’ve noticed.

Ya, its not a problem, just curious about it mostly. Its only happening on article notifications for me as well. Interesting.

I've also been having the same issue. It's not too bad, and when I click mark read, it goes away.

Same issue with sticky notifications. The only way to make them go away is to "mark read," which I never had to do previously. Only on articles, some of which I never was "watching" in the first place!

It's weird that it's happening to some and not others.

I'm on Chrome and never having any issues with alerts not going away.

In the thread about this, we need to isolate the variables of when it is / isn't happening (browsers, users, etc. etc. etc.)

This is one that won't go away unless I mark it as read.
