I would love to claim I am a master photographer, but I got lucky! I used my iPhone, zoomed in close and made stupid noises to get the girls attention!

Well it worked!

I'll have to try your technique, but perhaps I'd better warn the neighbours first!

I find that stupid noises is the real key.

Yesterday morning I went out to the coop to let the chickens out, saying "good morning chickens" as I always do and the little girls who live next door answered "good morning!" from beyond the tall fence It was a delightful neighbourly moment.

They're delightful kids but I'm pretty sure their parents would characterise my chook talk as 'stupid noises' or amusing/interesting at least, hahaha

Oh crikey - Echo and Blue have outdone themselves in the last few days! Look at the size of their eggs the other day compared to their usual size eggs!

We were wondering whether we were in for a double whammy - and yes! Both girls gave us a double-yolker! (Gutted a split the yolks on Echo's)

Unsurprisingly, Echo took the following day off from egg laying - can't say I blame her at all.
