hello! i had just recently gotten a new bunch of fertilized pekin duck eggs that are now about 3 or 4 days along. is this egg alive, or is it too early to tell?

It looks like it might be alive. I strongly suggest finding a dark room and candling there. It will greatly improve visibility.

I'm definitely seeing something, though it looks clearer when the picture is smaller. Have you tried holding a flashlight in the bottom of your fist so that the light shines up though the circle created by your finger and thumb? Then put the egg in that circle, wide-end down. It will greatly improve visibility.
