I measured Éowyn's tail. It is 16 inches long!

What is wrong with mine? I have to go very slowly or it does not end well.

I was wondering about this just today... and it seems the more chickens you have and the more times you do it.. the easier it becomes....

Yep. I concur ~ though the reality is my integrations are really slow. They are in their own coop for weeks, if not months, able to be seen & heard & interact through the wire ages before they mingle free ranging & longer still before I put everyone in the big coop together. It looks really easy then because it is but no~one is a stranger.

Yes... the babies have been in the coop in their see-no-touch section for weeks now... and today I opened it up and let them out... things are looking great.. an occasional peck here and there if they get too close... but I have noticed Poppy(gold laced EE) .... giving chase! I point out “gold laced”... I wonder if the meanness has something to do with color... she’s no Wyandotte but she is gold laced!
Anyway, other than that they are on their own to figure out how the flock works... I will report tonight on how they manage roosting time

Oh brudda... you are right about Leghorns! Little Daisy TSGHE.. is so great! If I sit out there she is the first one to hop on me... and I actually gave her a kiss on the beak!!! Not once.. but twice! That’s the first time I ever kissed a hen on the beak
